Johann Pachelbel was a german baroque composer who wrote a piece at some point in the 17th century entitled Pachelbel’s Canon. You’ve more than likely heard the original but you may not have realised just how prevalent the chord structure for this piece is in modern music. WARNING : once you hear it, you will notice it everywhere.
